FUNDRAISER EVENTS FOR SUNRISE

Sunrise fundraisers are our most fearless supporters. They’ve baked ’til they dropped, hosted film screenings and taken up crazy challenges to raise money for Sunrise Cambodia.  Some of the best fundraisers have asked for money instead of gifts at birthdays or weddings and raised hundreds of dollars in one easy day. However you want to fundraise, we’re behind you every step of the way. Have a squiz below at how past fundraisers have hit gold and check out our page on how to fundraise to get started.

ART FOR SUNRISE

Artist Abbas Mehran is selling portraits of Sunrise kids for a good cause – their future. His collection of colourful portraits that capture the joy, hope and perseverance the children are available on his website, artforsunrise and 50% of all profits donated to fund desperately needed health and education projects in Cambodia.

Abbas was inspired by the work of Geraldine Cox. He took a two week placement at Sunrise Kandal and taught art, painting and expression to kids in the art classes as well as designing a mural for the music room. Abbas and the kids painted his design on the walls together and it remains a favourite building for most staff and children at Sunrise Kandal.

“The children are inspiring. Many have lived through hardships we will never know. I wanted to do something to help Geraldine continue to look after them.” – and help Geraldine he has.
